Peer Review Process

The purpose of the peer review process is to ensure the publication of high quality and original research. All articles published in Indic Heritage & Culture are peer-reviewed and all submitted manuscripts follow the procedure described below.

Manuscript pre-evaluation: All manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal are first evaluated by the editor and editorial board. Manuscripts that fall outside the goals and scope of the journal or do not meet the requirements of scientific research will be rejected or may require some revisions at this initial stage. The editor will never accept manuscripts without a referee report at this early stage.

Peer Review Policy: Indic Heritage & Culture uses double-blind peer review, where both referee and author remain anonymous throughout the process. After initial review, manuscripts will be sent to two referees who will be assigned an editor and/or editor. The number of judges can be increased by the editor or editors if necessary. Judges are selected from among judges based on their expertise.

Referees are asked to evaluate the originality of the manuscript, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of results and support for conclusions, and appropriate references to previous relevant studies. The referees can accept the manuscript, reject the manuscript, or require changes in style and/or content. Two positive reports are required for articles to be published. If one referee's report is negative and another is positive, the article is forwarded to a third referee for further evaluation.

If a referee or referees request a revision, authors must consider the referees' criticisms and suggestions and return a revised version of the manuscript within one week. Revised manuscripts returned after one week are considered new submissions and the peer review process begins again. Referees may request more than one version of a manuscript. Manuscripts not accepted for publication will not be returned to their authors.

Final evaluation: After the positive opinions of the judges, the editor gives the final evaluation. Articles accepted for publication by the editors are placed in series of numbers.

Time of peer review process: A long-term peer review process is an important issue. Of course, the author(s) want a response to what they present. Indic Heritage & Culture aims to complete the entire peer review process within twelve weeks of submission.

Author(s) submitting an article to Indic Heritage & Culture will be deemed to agree to these peer review terms and procedures.
